Military Vehicles in Normandy
Visitors to the areas around the Normandy Landing Beaches, especially during the month of June, will notice a vast amount of restored Second World War vehicles on the roads - and often times the beaches too. Although many of these vehicles themselves have no direct link to D-Day or Operation Overlord, having so many of them return to Normandy every year really does add to the atmosphere, epsecially when the drivers and passengers of the vehicles are dressed in period clothing.
The images on this page are just a small selection of some of the vehicles we have photographed in Normandy over recent years. Although not technically "restored", we have included some of the static machines now serving as monuments or memorials to those who fought in the Battle of Normandy.
